The Dress

I went on a four day dress shopping extravaganza to Vancouver with my mom and mother in law.  It was a weekend filled with fun, laughs and so many white dresses.  It was the first "wedding" thing I did and loved every minute of it!  I'm so lucky to have two such amazing women in my life!

I l.o.v.e wedding dresses.  It was so hard to choose just one!  I ended up getting a Venus, style number 7935 from Tiffany Bridal. 

The night I got home I had my first nightmare that I hated my dress.  My dress was one of the things I wrestled with the most.  I was so unsure that it was the "one." 

In the end it ended up being gorgeous!

The Suit

Russ wore a tan suit and brown short sleeved dress shirt from Mexx that we got on sale at the end of the summer.  He wore the jacket for the ceremony and some of the pictures, then took it off for the rest of the reception. 

For shoes he wore brown leather flip flops that broke half way through the night.

I don't have any good pics of Russ in his suit yet... apparently they're all of me!  But this black and white one will do for now.

We had our hair and makeup done in my MOH's condo.  It was one of the best decisions we made.  We had the wedding tunes cranked, drank mimosas and ate snacks.  Despite being in complete shock that our wedding day had finally arrived I was so relaxed. 

What can I say about Dan?  Every review I read about him on the knot prior to the wedding raved about his skills as a hairdresser as well as about how wonderful he was to work with.  It's all true! 

I had some ideas of what I wanted my hair to look like for the wedding, but after consulation with Dan they all went out the window.  I let Dan choose what he though would work best for my hair and with my dress.  I couldn't be happier with the results.

Jessica was just as fantastic to work with as Dan was.  Plus they make a wonderful team. 

My mom and mother in law were a little worried about getting their makeup done because they wanted to look like themselves.  Jessica really put them at ease and did a beautiful job on their make up. 

I had absolutely no idea what I wanted my makeup to look like so I told Jessica to do what ever she wanted.  And just like with Dan, I was so pleased. 

Jessica used the airbrush makeup on all of us, but just used a brush to apply it.  Everything lasted all day (despite tears and and sweat). 

I highly recommend both Jessica and Dan.  They're really fun to work with and I felt beautiful all day long.
